KING CHARLES - MISSISSIPPI ISABEL
King Charles is a singer/song writer from London. He is trained as a classical singer as well as playing the guitar, piano and cello, with these abilities there is a range of aspects to explore in his music. "Mississippi Isabel" was from his first album in 2011 called "LoveBlood".
This video would be a mix of both performance and narrative. Also with the fast beat and the claps the editing would be fast pace and quite static to keep up with the beat, this would make the piece exciting.
NARRATIVE
The narrative is of the boy and girl walking/running/dancing through a field, or down a road/through a village. Through this narrative the idea of the boy and girl being in love can be portrayed. This song is about a girl called "Mississippi Isabel". He sings about her beauties and what she likes. Therefore the video will centre around her and his love for her. The camera will be following this girl as she potentially runs through a field or down the road. There will be close up shots of the girl and also POV shots of him looking at her, thus we can start to understand his love thoughts. I want a girl and a boy, around age 17/18 to be together.

Another idea is that they could be cycling or walking down a road/through a village together on an old bicycle to their picnic. The same idea of them being in love on their bicycle they could be laughing with each other and constantly looking at each other. As they walk/cycle through a village they could pass by a florist and he could buy her flowers or just pick some flowers up for her as this is quite a romantic gesture. There is a break from lyrics at 1.24-1.41 in which they could be dancing around their picnic blanket laughing and hugging eachother.
PERFORMANCE
The performance side of this would be an indie looking boy, the same boy in the narrative playing the piano as this is a very prominent part of the music. The performance would be situated in a bar on stage as a literal performance to the public. This gives a contrast from the narrative in the field. By giving him this look it fits with the whole sound of the music as it is quite original. There would also be an audience that would be enjoying the music. There would be the boy playing the piano, and two other boys, one clapping and one playing the guitar.
The idea is similar to this clip from "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid 1969"
